About Programs / FAQ

Community Visitor

You enjoyed your time in our cabins, or have a friend at KCP, and are curious to learn more about how we make it all happen, together, as a community. Open to previous cabin guests and friends of the community who want to extend their stay by a week or two, or plan another visit, with the intention of considering a Farm Stay or joining as a Community Member.

Minimum Age: 18

Fee: $300 + tax for one week. A second guest in your cabin is an additional $100 + tax.

NOTE: There is no work-trade obligation for Visitors, and food is not included. You must have stayed in a cabin before, been referred by a community member, or otherwise been invited to visit.

When booking, you must select a multiple of 7 nights (7, 14, 21, etc), or you will not see any availability.

Farm Stay

You are passionate about growing your own food, don’t mind hard work, and are looking to learn more about living in a sustainable community. If you found us through WWOOF, this program will look most similar to other WWOOF opportunities.

Minimum Age: 18

Program Length: 2-4 weeks. While Farm Stays cannot be extended beyond 4 weeks, you may apply to join as a Community Member during your stay. Priority is given to applications that initially apply for 4 weeks.

Refundable Deposit: $500 (returned when you leave in good standing). There are no membership dues, but Farm Stay participants do not enjoy the same privileges and benefits as full Community Members. If you do not show up for your farm stay, elect to leave early, or do not leave when scheduled, you will forfeit your deposit.

NOTE: Previous participants in any Kulaniapia Community Project program are not eligible for Farm Stays, and must apply as a Community Member or Visitor.
